let’s start and configure UpdraftPlus to backup your All WordPress Contents with one click.
First, install UpdraftPlus WordPress backup plugin.
Simply search For UpdraftPlus. Then install and activate the UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup Plugins. As you can see I have already done that because I do not want to lose my contents.
Once you have installed the Updraftplus you will be able to find it under settings. go ahead click on UpdraftPlus Backups
This is What UpdraftPlus Dashboard looks like. And here it will show all details about backups. The last backup has been taken on Monday, March 5, 2018, 23:17 which can be clearly seen in Screenshot.
Backup Now it will simply open a popup to back up what you want to back up. Here you can easily choose what to back up what to not.
- First for all database.
- Any Files.
- Send to the Remote desktop.
But Remember taking backup of your all content. You need to connect any Remote storage With updraftPlus to send your All files there.
If I click on restore. It will take me to Existing Backups tab and will show my backups. As you can see it is showing my existing Backups in Screenshot.
Here you can restore your backup.
If you want to move all of your contents to a new site from this Site. You can directly migrate your site to your new domain.
Now, let’s move to Settings tab to connect any of Remote storage with UpdraftPlus.
Here you can set up your backup schedule. Clicking on Setting Tab Two important option are there to take care of them.
You can set schedule of your backup how often do you want UpdraftPlus to backup your website contents.?
I have chosen two times A Week. UpdraftPlus will backup my Database and files twice a Week. If you do not want backup weekly you can go with daily or even hourly.
Once you have set schedule of your backup Updraftplus will start backing up your content automatically.
You can also back up your content manually if you do not prefer to back up your database automatically you can go with a manual which I do not recommend to do that.
once you have done with automating backup scroll down Here you will find many Remote storages to connect with updraftPlus to backup your all contents. I myself using GOOGLE DRIVE to backup my website content which Is working pretty well.
I have already authorized Google Drive with UpdraftPlus. So that why it is showing to de-authorize UpdraftPlus. Your one might be written Follow this link to your Google API Console, and there activate the Drive API and create a Client ID in the API Access section.
Follow the process to connect UpdraftPlus to Google drive or choose another remote Storage which you like more.
In same setting tab Include files backup choose what should be backed up. You must choose Plugins, Themes, and Upload and Any other directories found inside WP-content.
Also, check the email box, UpdraftPlus will send you an email As soon As your backup completes.
